RIJSENHOUT, Netherlands, November 5 – AMCS, a leading technology provider for the waste and recycling industry, today announced the rollout of AMCS Platform across Meerlanden’s commercial waste operations. The deployment connects customer service, planning, dispatch, inventory management, weighing, reporting, and invoicing. This supports more efficient services for businesses in the region.
Meerlanden cares for the living environment by collecting and recycling waste and raw materials, and by managing and maintaining public spaces, together with municipalities, businesses, and chain partners.
The new platform gives teams a collaborative environment where customer data, reporting obligations, collection, and invoicing come together. It is designed to reduce manual planning and help planners distribute work more evenly among drivers as customer needs and collection requirements change.
“With the go-live of our new ERP system, we are taking an important step in the further digitalization of our services to business customers,” said Dick Jansen, CFO at Meerlanden. “With AMCS, we have worked on an application that fits better with the day-to-day reality of waste collection and the demands of the future. The system gives us better support for our operational processes, and also new opportunities to optimize our services further and serve our customers even better. This lays a solid foundation for further development and growth.”
The investment supports Meerlanden's longer-term goal of simplifying its technology environment and making it easier to introduce automation. By bringing more activities into one platform, Meerlanden can reduce the number of separate systems it needs to maintain.
The go-live completes the first migration from AfvalRIS to AMCS Platform. It builds on Meerlanden’s longstanding relationship with AMCS.
“Meerlanden is a leader in showing what modern waste and recycling services can achieve,” said Mick Dodge, General Manager EMEA at AMCS. “Their commitment to recovering valuable resources and raising the standard of service for their customers sets an example for the industry, and we're proud to support their ambitions in this next chapter of our partnership."
