About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Head of Engineering to lead and scale our global engineering organisation of ~100 professionals across software engineering, DevOps, and data/ML.
Reporting directly to the CTO, you will take full ownership of engineering leadership, organisational effectiveness, and delivery excellence. As a key member of the engineering leadership team, you will contribute to shaping our technical direction and ensure that our teams are set up for sustainable, high-quality delivery.
Our platform operates in the EHS & ESG SaaS domain, where correctness, auditability, and regulatory compliance are critical. At the same time, we are actively advancing AI adoption, both in our product and engineering workflows—making this a highly impactful and forward-looking role.
What You Will Do
Lead and develop a global engineering organisation through an established management layer
Build scalable structures, career frameworks, and growth paths across disciplines
Shape and contribute to the technical strategy and architecture roadmap and Ensure teams are equipped with the right skills, tools, and platforms
Translate business goals into scalable, future-proof engineering solutions and Provide clear guidance on trade-offs, risks, and investment decisions
Drive execution readiness by identifying dependencies early and removing blockers and Create clarity and alignment across multiple time zones and functions
Act as the primary engineering counterpart to Product Management and align on roadmaps, planning cycles, and program increments
Drive the responsible adoption of AI in product and engineering workflows
Define standards and governance models for AI usage, especially in compliance-critical environments and Identify high-impact AI opportunities while maintaining necessary human oversight and auditability
Define and continuously improve engineering standards (quality, security, observability, releases) and optimise processes across a distributed, multi-timezone organisation

Your Profile
5+ years in senior engineering leadership roles (Director, Head of Engineering, VP) within a software product company, ideally SaaS
Proven track record leading internationally distributed engineering organisations (50+ people) across multiple disciplines, through an established management layer
Strong partnership with Product Management, with the ability to constructively align on roadmap priorities and program increment scope
Strong architectural expertise across distributed systems, cloud-native SaaS, APIs, data platforms, and platform engineering
Solid working knowledge of AI/ML in software products (including LLM integration and AI-assisted development tools)
Proficiency in modern delivery practices such as CI/CD, DevOps, observability, developer experience, and security-by-design
Clear, structured communicator bridging technical and non-technical stakeholders
Collaborative leader experienced in building structure and scaling agile delivery across evolving, distributed organizations.
Nice to have
Understanding of compliance-sensitive software domains (e.g. EHS, ESG, financial services, healthcare) and the importance of auditability, traceability, and data integrity
Pragmatic perspective on AI adoption in regulated environments, balancing value creation with governance requirements
