The Graduate Technical Analyst will be part of the Global Customer Support Team at AMCS. This role is centred on working closely with customers to understand their business operations, analyse workflows, and drive the resolution of process and software challenges across the AMCS platform.

This position is ideal for a business or IT graduate who can think analytically, engage confidently with stakeholders, and leverage data and modern tooling — including AI — to uncover insights and deliver solutions. While the role involves some customer-facing problem resolution, the primary focus is on analysis, understanding, and improvement rather than traditional support.

What you’ll do

  • Engage directly with customers to understand their business workflows, operational processes, and how they use the AMCS platform, building a thorough picture of their environment and needs.

  • Analyse business processes to identify inefficiencies, data issues, and misalignments between customer workflows and software behaviour.

  • Use data querying (SQL) and application monitoring tools to investigate issues, identify patterns, and surface actionable insights.

  • Leverage AI tooling to assist with root-cause analysis, pattern recognition, documentation, and the acceleration of investigative workflows.

  • Translate complex business and technical findings into clear, structured recommendations for both customers and internal product or development teams.

  • Document business processes, issue histories, and resolution outcomes accurately in the CRM and internal knowledge base.

  • Collaborate with product, development, and implementation teams to communicate customer workflow needs and advocate for improvements.

  • Perform post-resolution reviews to validate that solutions have addressed the underlying business problem, not just the immediate symptom.

What we’re looking for

  • A degree (or equivalent experience) in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills — you enjoy breaking down complex problems and working through them methodically.

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. You can engage confidently with business stakeholders and translate findings into clear, non-technical language where needed.

  • A solid understanding of how business processes operate within enterprise software environments.

  • Comfort working with data — identifying patterns, questioning anomalies, and drawing conclusions from structured information.

  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.

  • A collaborative mindset — you work well independently and as part of a distributed, cross-functional team.

What isn't a must but is a big plus?

  • Practical experience with SQL or similar data querying tools.

  • Familiarity with AI tools (e.g. Copilot, Claude, or similar) applied to analytical or investigative tasks.

  • Exposure to ERP or SaaS platforms and an understanding of how business data flows through integrated systems.

  • Experience with process mapping, business workflow documentation, or requirements gathering.

  • Basic scripting or coding awareness (e.g. PowerShell, C#) for data analysis or automation.

  • Knowledge of or interest in the Waste & Recycling industry and its operational processes.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Application Insights, or Grafana.

  • ITIL v3 or v4 Foundations certification.

  • Azure Fundamentals certification.
