Mick George Ltd, one of the UK’s leading suppliers to the construction industry, has invested in a new business management system from AMCS to support the company’s ambitious growth strategy.
The new system will consolidate a number of existing management systems into a single ERP and mobile solution that will run across all the company’s business units including bulk excavation & earth-moving, aggregate supply, and waste management.
AMCS will also run a ‘train the trainer’ program to ensure that all users whether office-based on-site or drivers are familiar with the system prior to launch.
Commenting on the investment Mick George’s Finance Director, Jon Stump said: “Following a thorough market review we felt that the AMCS solution was best placed to support our ambitious growth plans over the next 5 years.”
“Implementing a single system to manage our transportation, materials management, and back-office activities will enable us to streamline operations, enhance productivity and provide full visibility across the business in real-time.”
AMCS’ Key Account Manager, Pat Murray, said: “Operating a seamless solution across what is a diverse and fast-growing business will enable Mick George to quickly realize some significant operational efficiencies, whilst dramatically improving their access to reliable management information.”
“We expect the construction sector to be a high growth market for AMCS over the next few years as companies look to address operational and data issues resulting from multiple systems with poor interfaces.”
