Duynie Group chooses Fleet Planner from AMCS to optimise planning and transport routes

Utrecht, November 5, 2019. - Duynie Group is going to optimise and digitise all orders for own and external transport organisation-wide with Fleet Planner, the standard intelligent optimisation software of the AMCS Group. The contract signing was today during the ICT & Logistics trade fair. Duynie Group is a specialist in processing co-products from food and biofuel producers. The group chose AMCS partly because it can support the transition from TMS (Transport Management System) to APS (Advanced Planning and Scheduling). The algorithms in the planning program also make it possible to distribute the available orders in such a way that the company's own fleet is deployed optimally and the remaining freight is carried out by the most suitable external carrier.

Transport optimisation

"Duynie Group has an ambitious growth strategy which means that the number of transports is increasing," says manager logistics Cornel van Gelderen. "With Fleet Planner from AMCS we can further automate and digitise the planning. This will enable us to increase our efficiency and to plan more transport orders with the same number of people. It is also expected that the capacity utilisation will increase, which contributes to our sustainability goals of reducing CO2 emissions. Moreover, we can further digitise the invoicing and thus accelerate it."

AMCS is a professional partner

"Duynie Group chose AMCS after an extensive market orientation," says Van Gelderen. "AMCS has experience with supply-driven logistics and has the expertise to link data, for example from sensors that we read at suppliers and customers, to a planning program. AMCS' vision of digitalisation also fits in well with that of Duynie Group. An example is the mobile solution. The driver receives all information about an order on his smartphone and can upload order information, such as the weighing slip, immediately after unloading. The system then links this data to the correct order. AMCS has knowledge of local laws and regulations and offers support in the language of the country concerned. This fits in well with the international character of the Duynie Group. And partnership is an important value for the Duynie Group. The good feeling, that click, was immediately there with AMCS."

Martijn Schimmer, Sales Director AMCS Group: "We believe that AMCS Fleet Planner will make a substantial contribution to the realisation of important improvements in the logistics activities of the Duynie Group. Duynie Group's choice of us confirms AMCS' position as a leading supplier of intelligent systems for transport optimisation."
