YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic HR Shape and execute an HR strategy aligned with our business goals. You build performance management processes (incl. OKR frameworks), establish a competitive and transparent Compensation & Benefits structure, and drive organisational design in close collaboration with CFO and leadership team. Culture, DE&I, and employee engagement are core agenda items — not afterthoughts.

  • Talent Acquisition & Development You build a professional, scalable recruiting process across all functions — with a particular focus on technical and niche roles. You manage external search partners, develop a differentiated employer brand in the Berlin tech market, and ensure that onboarding, L&D, and succession planning are structured and effective.

  • HR Operations & Compliance You own all employment law matters, with a primary focus on Germany (BetrVG, works council relations); DACH knowledge is a plus. This includes contract management, terminations, payroll coordination with external partners, international employee compliance, and GDPR-compliant HR documentation — all handled legally sound and professionally.

  • HR System Selection & Implementation You lead the structured evaluation and implementation of a modern HR system (e.g. Personio, HiBob, Workday) — including data migration, change management, and integration with payroll and finance. You build meaningful HR reporting and people analytics on top, leveraging AI-driven tools where it adds value.

  • International HR You coordinate HR matters across international locations, manage local HR partners and

  • Employer of Record providers, and ensure consistent standards while maintaining local compliance. You support cross-border employment and relocation topics.

  • Team Leadership You take over, develop, and grow the existing HR team — with clear role definitions, targeted capability building, and an eye on future capacity needs as the company scales.

WHO YOU ARE

You think strategically — but you don't lose touch with operational reality. You build structures rather than waiting for them, communicate directly and with empathy, and lead with clarity even in difficult situations. You're resilient in a dynamic transformation phase, take personal accountability seriously, and genuinely embody the culture you want to help create.

WHAT QUENTIC OFFERS

A rare chance to build something meaningful — you shape the HR function strategically from the ground up, with a direct reporting line to the CFO and close involvement with the executive leadership team. You take over an established 3-person team as your operational foundation, in a modern, growth-oriented tech company. Based in Berlin, with remote/hybrid flexibility and a competitive compensation package including a variable component.
