Why AMCS moved to the cloud

The cloud enables us to offer you a better service. It will save you money in IT costs, improve your efficiency and in turn, allow you to improve your customers’ experience. By opting for cloud services, your onboarding will be reduced by a third of the time it took before with software and hardware. Working on the cloud is also more cost-effective.

What this means for you

The cloud enables us to offer you a better service. It will save you money in IT costs,  improve your efficiency and in turn, allow you to improve your customers’ experience.

By opting for cloud services, your onboarding will be reduced by a third of the time it took before with software and hardware. Working on the cloud is also more cost-effective.

How?

  • You’re sharing space on our servers with other companies instead of paying for your own on-site servers. Think of it this way: you’re sharing the costs.
  • With your own onsite servers, you’re responsible for your IT issues and tech support. With the cloud, you’re on our servers, so we take care of maintenance and everything else.  This helps you reduce operational costs while making your  IT processes more effective.

Keep in mind, too, that managing your own server is always a risk. In the event of a  server breakdown, you risk losing valuable data. We handle administrative tasks such as database backup, so we can protect you from that, and thus, the costs you would incur.

  • No need for expensive and time-consuming updates. Again, we take care of this on our end. You’ll always have the latest software upgrades, so you don’t have to worry about being left behind.

We also take care of security updates, performing regular audits far more than most businesses do on their own. Just an interesting side note: according to research by  RapidScale, 94% of businesses saw an improvement in security after migrating to the cloud.

  • It’s scalable. You pay for the server space you use. As you grow your business, you can add more space. This is a nice advantage, as you’re never overpaying.

What this means for your customers

With non-cloud applications, you have to switch from one application to another. The  AMCS Platform, for example, combines all of your applications into one solution. It’s all there, right in front of you. You can track your assets in real-time at every point in the supply chain, right away.

Because of this streamlining, you can be more agile. You can get a real-time picture of inventory, for example, and pass on that knowledge to your customers. Depending on the applications you add to the AMCS Platform, you can see what’s happening in your business anywhere, at any time, and use that to inform your decisions and services to your customers.

In essence, by delivering faster to your customers, they get what they need sooner than otherwise.

Cloud computing environments also allow your employees to work anywhere, so no matter where they are, they can access applications and work via the Internet,  continuing to help your customers reach their goals.

Integrated, comprehensive services

If you’ve not yet opted for our cloud services, do. You can customise your customer experiences, and in the end, that’s what they want. And that’s what we’re doing for you.
