Strong technology focus at RWM 2018

Technology is set to take centre stage at next week’s RWM exhibition in Birmingham and we are delighted that both our CMO, Mark Abbas and UK Business Development Manager, Conor Dowd, are among the list of exciting speakers joining the event’s conference programme.

Mark will bring over 20 years’ experience in developing new technologies for the waste and recycling sector to the Business Growth Theatre on Wednesday 12th September between 15.30 and 16.00. He will discuss the latest technological trends and how these have been aligned with modern business processes and the move towards a more circular economy. Visitors will benefit from Mark’s insight into the next wave of innovation including subcontracting, call centre development and customer engagement and learn how this progress is helping to improve operational efficiency and generate additional revenue from existing resources.

Conor Dowd - Head of Sales for Western Europe

Visitors to the Recycling Theatre on Thursday between 15.30 and 16.00 will hear how the implementation of technology and best practice can be used to protect margins. Prior to joining AMCS, Conor spent over 12 years at Greenstar with responsibility for the company’s Corporate and On-Site Recycling Division. This experience enables him to directly relate technological innovation to operational challenges and opportunities. Conor will discuss how businesses can improve their data quality and availability and use this information to make better and more timely business decisions. The session will provide an overview of a range of systems including route optimisation and guided navigation as well as the rapid uptake of mobile and on-vehicle technologies.
