Weighing

AMCS are the leading supplier of all types of weighing and identification technology to the waste industry. We currently supply:

All of AMCS weighing technology is certified and can be used for legally charging customers on a per k.g basis.

Bin Weighing

AMCS currently supply the most proven technologically advanced weighing and identification solution to the waste market in Ireland and the UK. Bin weighing, combined with our Routeman office system, gives waste disposal operators the necessary tools to measure the efficiency of every route, monitor customer behavior and the capability to view the effectiveness of recycling campaigns. It also allows waste disposal operators to implement "The Polluters Pay Policy".

Bin Weighing and RFID Solution

  1. Each bin is chipped with a unique RFID transponder and this transponder is mapped back to a customer number or bin number.
  2. On collection the bin is weighed and identified and all the collection data is stored on an industrial PC in the truck. Every time a bin is collected it receives a unique GPS co-ordinate of the lift.
  3. The collection data is sent from the truck to the office over the GSM network.

Features:

  • Weighing - The weighing system supplied by AMCS is certified to class III to OIML R51 class Y (a) which is accepted throughout Europe for weighing domestic and commercial wheeled bins. Our weighing devices are certified to allow for a maximum weight of 600k.g. AMCS can supply both static and dynamic weighing systems and can be fitted to both trade lifts and automatic high speed lifts.
  • Identification Technology - AMCS identification system can be used on both plastic and metal bin types. AMCS identification system is renowned for its long read-distances.
  • GPS - Every bin or container is assigned GPS co-ordinates, which allows the system to track missing bins. The operator can know at any given time the location of every bin or skip.
  • Rugged Industrial PC - All of AMCS installations have a fully rugged touch-screen industrial PC that is mounted in the cab. The co-ordinates of each customer's bin can be placed on digital maps that are displayed on the industrial PC. From the industrial PC on the truck, the driver can see the list of bins that are assigned to each route.
When a bin is emptied the corresponding bin on the map changes from red to green. The digital map is also used as a learning aid for new recruits or
drivers that are assigned to a different route.
  • GSM/GPRS Communication - All data collected by the truck is sent to the back office system, Routeman, using the GPRS network. Routeman then processes that data and prepares it for billing. The process is fully automated and eliminates the need for RAM cards and also reduces time spent on administration. The GPRS communication is a two-way communication system, which means that if an operator needs to assign a truck to a new route the data can be downloaded from the server to the truck. With GSM, communication data can be downloaded every 15 minutes. If the truck is in an area where the GSM coverage is poor the system will continue to try and download the data until adequate network coverage is received.
  • Black-listed Customers - the system can be programmed to reject stolen bins, unrecognised containers or bins belonging to customers whose accounts are in arrears.
  • Route Planning - an operator can manually add or generate a route. Routeman can assist route managers in the planning of the most efficient routes.
  • Billing Systems - The back office management solution provided by AMCS is easily integrated with all existing customer billing systems that are currently on the market.

Underbody Weighing

AMCS currently have available in the marketplace a complete scale system for chassis or frame mounting to fit a variety of vehicles. The weighing device is made up of low profile load-cells that are manufactured in stainless steel and laser welded. Each load-cell has a nominal load of 8000kg and a safe overload of 150%.

Unlike the majority of under body weighing systems that are currently available in the marketplace the system that AMCS supply is certified to Class IV and can be used by waste disposal operators to charge customers by weight.

AMCS chassis weighing solution can also be integrated with AMCS handheld unit, which ultimately allows waste disposal operators to fully automate weighing and invoicing of containers.

  • Maximum load lift: 2,500kg
  • 3,000 divisions
  • 5kg resolution
  • Weighs at the point of lift

Front End Loader Weighing
