Mick George Ltd, one of the UK’s leading suppliers to the construction industry, has invested in a new business management system from AMCS to support the company’s ambitious growth strategy.

The new system will consolidate a number of existing management systems in to a single ERP and mobile solution that will run across all the company’s business units including bulk excavation & earth-moving, aggregate supply and waste management.

AMCS will also run a ‘train the trainer’ program to ensure that all users whether office based on-site or drivers are familiar with the system prior to launch.

Commenting on the investment Mick George’s Finance Director, Jon Stump, said:
“Following a thorough market review we felt that the AMCS solution was best placed to support our ambitious growth plans over the next 5 years.”

“Implementing a single system to manage our transportation, materials management and back office activities will enable us to streamline operations, enhance productivity and provide full visibility across the business in real-time.”

AMCS’ Key Account Manager, Pat Murray, said:
“Operating a seamless solution across what is a diverse and fast growing business will enable Mick George to quickly realize some significant operational efficiencies, whilst dramatically improving their access to reliable management information.”

“We expect the construction sector to be a high growth market for AMCS over the next few years as companies look to address operational and data issues resulting from multiple systems with poor interfaces.”
